Overview
Amendment C271yara proposes permanent built form controls for land along and surrounding major corridors in Fitzroy and Collingwood. These controls aim to guide building heights, setbacks, and design outcomes to support growth in well-serviced locations within the Inner Melbourne Train and Tram Zone.
The Committee will:
- Consider the referred specific matters relating to built form outcomes, including the application of new Built Form Overlay (BFO) schedules prepared under the Victoria Planning Provisions.
- Review the exhibited Design and Development Overlay schedules and draft BFO schedules provided by the Department of Transport and Planning.
- Provide advice to the Minister on the appropriateness and implementation of these built form controls.
The Yarra Activity Centres Standing Advisory Committee was appointed by the Minister for Planning on 9 August 2021.
